Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) - Oak Hills Press Learning Management System
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs the use of the Learning Management System ("LMS") provided by Oak Hills Press ("we," "us," or "our") by its employees, contractors, partners, and other authorized users ("you" or "users"). By accessing or using the LMS, you agree to comply with this AUP, in addition to all applicable policies and laws.
1. Purpose of the LMS
The LMS is intended to support professional development, knowledge sharing, and training within Oak Hills Press. It is designed to facilitate access to educational content, track learning progress, and enhance individual and organizational performance.
2. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use the LMS in any manner that:
- Violates any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation.
- Infringes upon or violates the intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or other rights of others.
- Uploads, posts, transmits, or otherwise distributes content that is unlawful, harmful, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
- Attempts to gain unauthorized access to the LMS or any related systems or networks.
- Interferes with or disrupts the integrity or performance of the LMS or its data.
- Introduces malware, ransomware, viruses, or any other malicious code into the LMS.
- Misrepresents your identity or affiliation with Oak Hills Press or any other person or organization.
- Shares login credentials or permits unauthorized third-party access.
3. User Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- Ensuring that your use of the LMS aligns with your role and responsibilities within Oak Hills Press.
- Promptly reporting any suspected security incidents or breaches to the LMS administrator or IT support team.
- Using the LMS in a respectful, professional, and collaborative manner.
4. Content Ownership and Use
All content made available through the LMS, including but not limited to course materials, videos, assessments, and discussion posts, remains the property of Oak Hills Press or its licensors. Users may not copy, distribute, or otherwise use LMS content for any purpose other than internal training and development, unless explicitly authorized.
5. Monitoring and Enforcement
Oak Hills Press reserves the right to:
- Monitor LMS activity to ensure compliance with this AUP.
- Investigate violations and take appropriate disciplinary or legal action, including suspension or termination of LMS access.
- Modify or update this AUP at any time, with or without prior notice.
6. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any misuse of the LMS or potential violations of this AUP, please report them immediately to the IT department or your direct supervisor.
